Advantages
of being in a Small Group...
Understand
The Bible Better - One
of the main purposes of small groups is to explore,
discuss, and help each other grasp the truth of
God's Word. You can ask questions, participate in
discussions, and hear others share their insights
from the Bible. Join a group so you can learn more
about the Bible and start applying its teachings to
you life today.
Build
New & Lasting Friendships - God
never meant for you to go it alone in the Christian
life. Most people who have been a part of a group
say the greatest benefit is the close relationships
and friendships that they develop. They will
frequently telephone each other during the week to
share an urgent prayer request or an exciting
answer. Becoming a part of a small group is the very
best way to make new friends at Calvary.
Find
Support During Hard Times - Small
groups provide excellent support in times of crisis,
change, and stress. You'll have a sense of stability
and security knowing there are people who really
care for you and are committed to standing with you.
Many people in our church could testify that they
would not have made it through a difficult time if
it hadn't been for the support of their group.
Grow
Stronger In Your Faith - In addition to learning
the Bible, you will learn to grow deeper in your
Christian walk. You will learn more about prayer,
daily Bible study, telling others about Jesus, and
how to find a ministry in the church. The Bible
teaches that every believer is given certain talents
and “gifts” to benefit others in the family of
God. Participating in a small group can help you
discover what your gifts are.
